These terms apply to every reservation made directly with Heavenly Retreat, whether through this website, by telephone, by email or by WhatsApp. Making a reservation means you accept them on behalf of everyone in your party.

Heavenly Retreat is a 13-suite retreat at the edge of the Shangarh Meadow in the Sainj Valley, Himachal Pradesh. Our inventory is six Meadow-View Suites, six Pavilion Suites and one Jr. Suite. In these terms “we” and “us” mean Havenly Retreat — the trade name on our GST registration, under which we trade publicly as Heavenly Retreat — a sole proprietorship registered in Himachal Pradesh (GSTIN 02DGFPP8579D2Z5) and the operator of the property, and “you” means the guest making the reservation.

01Making a reservation

A reservation is confirmed once we have received the advance payment described in section 3 and have sent you a written confirmation carrying a reservation reference. An enquiry, a held quotation or an unpaid selection is not a confirmed booking, and the suites stay available to other guests until payment reaches us.

The lead guest must be at least 18 years of age and is responsible for the conduct of the whole party and for any charges raised against the reservation.

We may decline a reservation, or cancel one already made, where the details given are incomplete or inaccurate, where payment fails, or where accepting it would breach these terms. Where we cancel for any reason other than your breach, we refund every rupee received.

02Rates, taxes and what is included

Rates are quoted per suite per night in Indian Rupees and cover the suite, the meal plan you select, use of the common areas and Wi-Fi across the property.

Goods and Services Tax is charged at the rate set by law for hotel accommodation, assessed per suite per night on the value after any discount has been applied:

Where a discount or an offer code reduces the nightly tariff below ₹7,500, the lower band applies. Your quotation and confirmation both show the tariff, any discount, the taxable value and the tax as separate lines, so the arithmetic is open to inspection before you pay.

Rates quoted for a specific stay hold for that stay. Rates shown for future dates may change until a reservation is confirmed.

03Payment

To confirm a reservation you may pay either 50% of the total as an advance, with the balance settled at the property on arrival, or the full amount in advance. The choice is yours and is offered at checkout.

How you can pay

Where you pay by bank transfer or UPI and mark the payment as sent, the suites are held for you while we verify the amount against our account. Verification is normally same-day. Should the payment not reach us, we will contact you before releasing the suites.

We do not store card numbers. Card payments are handled by our payment processor under its own security standards, and we receive only the outcome of the transaction.

04Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation is free until 30 days before arrival. Inside 30 days a reservation is non-refundable. The same terms apply to discounted and offer-code rates.

The full policy, including how to cancel, refund timelines, no-shows and early departures, is set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

05Arrival and departure

A valid government-issued photograph identity document is required from every adult guest at check-in. This is a legal requirement for accommodation in India, and we cannot complete check-in without it. How we handle and dispose of those documents is described in our Privacy Policy.

Early arrival and late departure can sometimes be arranged, subject to availability on the day, and may carry a charge. Please ask in advance rather than on arrival.

06Occupancy

Meadow-View and Pavilion Suites accommodate up to three guests with an extra mattress. The Jr. Suite accommodates two. Occupancy beyond the number of guests declared on the reservation is not permitted without our agreement, and additional guests are charged at the rates in section 7.

07Additional services and charges

Meals beyond your selected plan, and anything else ordered during your stay, are billed to the reservation and settled at departure. Our kitchen, Gambler, can accommodate most dietary requirements given reasonable notice.

For safety reasons personal heaters, blowers and other external heating appliances may not be used in the suites.

08House rules

We may ask a guest whose conduct puts other guests, our staff or the property at risk to leave. In that event no refund is due for the remainder of the stay.

09Reaching us

The route to Shangarh is paved except for the final 8 km, which is an unpaved track along the edge of the Great Himalayan National Park. Most cars manage it in fair weather; a vehicle with reasonable ground clearance is sensible during the monsoon. We can help arrange a local taxi from Sainj given notice.

Mobile coverage in the valley varies by network. Wi-Fi reaches every suite and all common areas.

10Liability

We take reasonable care of our guests and their belongings, and we ask you to take reasonable care too. We are not liable for loss or damage to personal property left unattended, nor for interruptions outside our control — weather, road closures, power supply or network outages — beyond the refund rights set out in our cancellation policy.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.

Questions about these terms are welcome at reservations@heavenlyretreat.in or on +91 77188 90660.
